Our guide was extremely knowledgeable with a real love of the history of Milan and La Scala. His enthusiasm was obvious. The theatre is beautiful and the museum has many artifacts from the opera.

Great tour. Make sure to check out the second floor which is not included in the tour. You get to see amazing opera costumes.

The tour was short and there was no real access to the theatre itself, which was a shame, however the rest of the visit was interesting

Two comments: The Scala, if there is no evening performance, is about as interesting as a crypt. While there was a nice professional docupic as one exited, the most famous opera house in the world offers the visitor NOTHING! Not a background aria, a musical riff or a piece of scenery for your trouble! Luke going to a famous restaurant and getting a tuna sandwich! So, MEH, to you too, Scala.
The guided tour offered little better. The tour guide gave a canned talk as she moved the group from place to place and explained items in the museum. Unless you can go on a performance day, I’d walk past it without a second thought!

Meeting point was well explained but we had 25 people on our tour a day of rehearsals. I felt they organizers should have know that it advance so we could move through more easily. You also barely get to see the inside of the theatre.
